Heather Craig
I am a Comprehensively-Certified Pilates Instructor through Peak Pilates. While my training is fully classical, I initially learned about Pilates via the contemporary method, and have carried elements of it into my teaching.
I did not become an exercise enthusiast until my early 30's. After surviving a nearly fatal side effect of Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome that resulted in a total abdominal hysterectomy in my mid 20's, I dealt with all sorts of hormonal issues that affected not only my body, but my mind. After dealing with endless depression, lack of motivation, extreme irritability, and not enough energy to even walk a mile, I had decided that I was tired of it all. I forced myself, kicking and screaming, to the nearest gym, and discovered the healing power of exercise. It didn't take long for me to realize that Pilates was exactly what I needed to feel better, both mentally and physically.
Being that I come from a background of illness and injury, I find it easier to relate to newcomers to Pilates. I haven't been exercising my entire life like so many trainers out there, so I know how difficult it can be to motivate yourself to work out from day one. I'm a real person that has to fight every day to stay fit, to make good food choices, and to motivate others to follow suit. It's easy to lose focus and give up, so I'm there with you to help motivate you in a realistic manner.

Adela Garcia
Adela Garcia was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She was a personal trainer and also a BootCamp instructor in Houston for 17 years. She moved to Austin in 2017 and turned her focus to Pilates and became comprehensively certified in 2018 through Balance Body. Adela was an instructor in Austin for six years at two busy studios.
She and her husband love the beach and were searching for a place close to a beach to retire in the future. They fell in love with Galveston and bought a home here in 2022. Adela moved here permanently in March 2024.
Adela has always loved helping her clients reach their fitness goals. She loves how Pilates works the body differently than weight training, finding all the smaller muscle and making that connection with the core.
Outside of the studio, Adela is a dog mom to two rescue dogs, she loves running on the beach, weight training and Pilates.
